CAIRO – 04 November 2017: Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool`s manager, told the press on Friday that he didn`t ask Hector Cuper, Egyptian national team`s manager, not to include Mohamed Salah in his squad to face Ghana.

Klopp told the reporters: “I didn`t talk with Cuper, Salah did. It was normal as Egypt has already qualified to the World Cup.”

Cuper decided to exclude Liverpool forward Salah from joining the next training camp, to prevent the player from burning out by having him play in too many games. Salah is currently playing in both the Premier League and the Champions League.

Egypt was set to meet the United Arab Emirates in a friendly match on November 9, but the match was cancelled.

Egypt is scheduled to face Ghana on November 12 in a casual game, as the Pharaohs have already qualified for the 2018 World Cup in the fifth round of the qualifiers.

Liverpool will fly to meet Westham United in the 11th round of the English Premier League on Saturday.
